Pakistan were, in fact, the first team to put up a 300-plus total in the ODI tournament. They did so back in 1997, against the same opposition, scoring 319 for 5.
Hong Kong’s 259 for 8 against India in 2018 is the highest total by an associate team in the ODI Asia Cup. Their effort came in an unsuccessful run chase of 286 runs.

Hong Kong have also logged the highest total among associates in the T20 Asia Cup. Hong Kong mustered 175 as they fell short of five runs in a 181-run chase against Oman in 2016.
Sri Lanka have recorded the highest successful run chase in the T20 Asia Cup. They gunned down a 184-run target set by Bangladesh in 2022.
