Australia’s legendary batter Don Bradman and India’s explosive batter Virender Sehwag share the record of smashing the most 290+ scores in Test cricket. Both batters have crossed the 290 mark three times each.

Bradman’s 290+ scores include 2 triple centuries against arch-rival England (334 and 304) and a knock of 299* against South Africa. He was left stranded on 299 as South Africa ran out No. 11 batter Pud Thurlow, ending Australia’s innings on 513. Moreover, this is the only instance of a batter being not out on 299.

Sehwag, on the other hand, scored 2 triple centuries — 319 vs. South Africa and 309 vs. Pakistan — and a knock of 293 against Sri Lanka. Sehwag’s blistering triple century against South Africa came in 278 deliveries — the fastest triple century by any batter in Tests.

Brian Lara, the West Indies legend, is the only batter with the most 350+ scores. This includes the iconic unbeaten knock of 400 against England and 375 runs against the same opposition.

Lara’s swashbuckling teammate Chris Gayle, the Universe Boss, also scored two triple centuries — 333 against Sri Lanka and 317 against South Africa.
