Chris Gayle and Jos Buttler have the most number of seasons with 10-plus sixes in a single tournament. Both batters hit 10 or more sixes in three seasons. Gayle was the first batter (2007, 2012, and 2016), while Buttler levelled him in 2024 (2016 and 2021 were the other editions). Shane Watson (2010, 2012) and David Warner (2010, 2021) were the other batters to achieve it in two iterations.

Gayle has also hit the most sixes in the competition’s history. He crossed the ropes 63 times in 31 innings.
