Ireland’s George Dockrell is the slowest batter to score 1000 T20I runs, having taken 83 innings to cross the landmark.

New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum was the first batter to score 1000 runs in T20Is. He crossed the mark in May 2010 during the T20 World Cup encounter against Zimbabwe. McCullum took a little over five years and 35 innings to go past the 1000-run landmark.


Record for Fewest Balls to Complete 1000 T20I Runs

India’s Abhishek Sharma has taken the fewest balls to accumulate 1000 T20I runs. He needed 528 deliveries to reach the landmark.

India’s Suryakumar Yadav (573 balls) and England’s Phil Salt (599 balls) are the other batters to complete 1000 T20I runs in less than 600 balls.

Rizwan is also the fastest wicketkeeper to aggregate 1000 T20I runs, taking 30 innings to attain the feat.

Rwanda’s Didier Ndikubwimana needed 70 innings as a wicketkeeper, making him the slowest keeper-batter to score 1000 runs in T20Is.

Japan’s Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming is the quickest to score 1000 runs as a captain in T20Is, taking 25 innings.

MS Dhoni, meanwhile, has taken the most innings, completing 1000 T20I runs in 57 innings as India’s skipper.
