Only two Indian players have recorded a 6-wicket haul in T20Is: Deepak Chahar (6/7) and Yuzvendra Chahal (6/25).

The record for most 5-wicket hauls in T20Is for India is jointly held by Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Varun Chakravarthy, each having achieved the feat twice.

Kuldeep Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also lead the chart for the most instances of taking 4 or more wickets in an innings, with five such performances to their credit.


India’s Best Bowling Average and Strike Rate

Kuldeep Yadav boasts the best bowling average in T20Is among Indian bowlers with a minimum of 11 wickets, conceding less than 14 runs per wicket, a metric that ranks him among the best globally.

Kuldeep Yadav also leads the Indian bowling chart in the crucial bowling strike rate column, placing him among the top global bowlers who have claimed more than 50 wickets.


Milestone and Economy Rate Achievements

Arshdeep Singh, who tops the wickets chart for India in the shortest format, also holds the distinction of being the first Indian bowler to secure 100 or more wickets in T20 Internationals.

The first-ever wicket taken by an Indian bowler in T20 Internationals was that of South African opener Loots Bosman, who was dismissed by Zaheer Khan off a catch taken by Sachin Tendulkar at first slip in Johannesburg in late 2006.

For any Indian who has delivered over 100 overs in T20 Internationals, Harbhajan Singh’s economy rate of 6.20 is currently the best, with Jasprit Bumrah closely challenging that figure.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar tops the list among Indian bowlers for the most maiden overs bowled in T20 cricket, although in overall international T20s, that specific record is held by Jasprit Bumrah.
