Key Insights – India Test Results in Every New Zealand Venues

India’s highest successful run chase in New Zealand, however, came in their first Test in Dunedin, where they chased down a 200-run target with five wickets to spare.

India played their first Test match in New Zealand in 1968. They secured their first victory in the same match played at Carisbrook in Dunedin. This remains the only time India has played a Test at this venue.

Auckland also recorded India’s largest Test victory by runs. They won the 1968 fixture against the home side by 272 runs.

Their biggest win by wickets came in Hamilton, where they won the 2009 Test by 10 wickets after chasing a 39-run target in the fourth innings.
