Record-Breaking Individual T20I Powerplay Performances
Turkey’s Muhammad Fahad holds the record for scoring the most runs in the powerplay in a T20I innings. He hammered 93 runs off 24 balls against Bulgaria in 2025.
Fahad’s 93 runs included 10 sixes, the most by a batter in the powerplay in a T20I innings.
Fahad also achieved a strike rate of 387.50, again the highest among the batters who’ve faced a minimum of six balls in the powerplay in an innings.
Team Performance Records in the First Six Overs
The Turkish keeper-batters’ onslaught pushed his team’s powerplay total to 113, the joint-highest by a team in the first six overs in a T20I innings.
Australia also reached 113 runs in the powerplay, thanks to Travis Head’s 73 runs from 22 balls against Scotland in the 2024 Edinburgh T20I.

India’s Rohit Sharma has aggregated the most runs in the powerplay phase in all T20I cricket. He scored 2141 runs at a strike rate of 133.22 in 128 innings. His run tally included 94 sixes, the most by a batter in the first six overs in T20Is.
