Milestones and Run Aggregates by Indian T20I Batters

Rohit Sharma has scored the most runs for India in T20I cricket. He finished his T20I career with 4231 runs in 151 innings.

Virat Kohli, second on the list with 4188 runs, was the first-ever batter to aggregate 4000-plus runs in T20I cricket.

Kohli is, in fact, the fastest batter to accumulate 4000 runs in T20Is, taking 107 innings to reach the landmark.

Kohli is also the quickest to score 1000 (27), 1500 (39), 2000 (56), 2500 (68), 3000 (81), and 3500 (96) runs for India in T20Is.

Suryakumar Yadav has aggregated the most runs for India in a calendar year in T20Is. He accumulated 1164 runs at an impressive strike rate of 187.43 in 31 innings in 2022.



Highest Individual Scores and Centurion Records for India in T20Is

Suresh Raina was the first Indian batter to score a T20I century. He smashed 101 from 60 balls against South Africa in the 2010 T20 World Cup. Thus far, this remains the only century from India in the T20 World Cup.

Rohit has smashed the most centuries for India in T20Is, with five 100-plus knocks to his name. His five hundreds are also the joint-most by a batter in this format.

Kohli, meanwhile, leads the fifty-plus scores chart for India. He scored 39 fifty-plus knocks, including a century.

Kohli has scored the most runs for India at home in T20Is. 1577 of his runs came at home at a strike rate of 148.63 in 45 innings.

Rohit, on the other hand, has amassed the most runs in away-from-home T20Is. The right-hander scored 2699 of his runs outside India at a strike rate of 138.26 in 94 innings.

Kohli has scored the most runs for India against an opponent in T20Is. 794 of his runs came against Australia at a strike rate of 142.54 in 22 innings.

Kohli’s average of 48.69 is the highest by an Indian batter in T20I cricket (minimum 10 innings batted).

Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar are the two Indian batters with strike rates above 160 in T20I cricket (minimum 500 balls faced).

Rohit has struck the most sixes and fours for India in T20Is, having sent down 205 maximums and smashed 383 fours.
