Pakistan’s Babar Azam is the only batter to score 800-plus runs against New Zealand in T20I cricket.
Babar has also struck the most fifty-plus scores against them, with nine knocks under his belt.
Babar scored 338 of his runs across nine innings in 2024, the most by a batter against New Zealand in a calendar year in T20Is.
Babar is also the only batter to accumulate 400-plus runs against the Kiwis in New Zealand in T20Is.
In 2012, South Africa’s Richard Levi became the first batter to score a T20I century against New Zealand. Levi scored an unbeaten 117 off 51 balls in a successful chase of 174 runs in the Hamilton T20I.
Overall, eight opponent batters have scored a century each against New Zealand in T20Is, with two each from India and Pakistan.
Among them, Shubman Gill has recorded the highest individual scores against New Zealand in T20Is. The Indian batter hammered an unbeaten 126 from 63 balls in the 2023 Ahmedabad T20I.
Mitchell Marsh (Australia) and Babar are the two captains to smash a T20I hundred against the Kiwis, with Marsh’s unbeaten 103 in the 2025 Bay Oval T20I being the highest score among the two.
Marsh is the only batter to average above 50 against New Zealand in T20Is (minimum 10 innings).
Harry Brook (England) and Shahid Afridi (PAK) have a strike rate above 170 against the Blackcaps in T20Is (minimum 100 balls faced).
Marsh is the lone batter to strike 30-plus sixes against the Blackcaps in T20I cricket.
Likewise, Babar is the lone batter to score more than 90 fours against New Zealand in this format.
India’s KL Rahul has aggregated the most runs against New Zealand in a bilateral T20I series. He scored 224 runs in the five-match New Zealand tour in 2020.
