1: India holds the record for registering the most wins in a calendar year in all formats of the game. In 2022, India also became the first team to win 40+ matches across formats. And India are the only team to win 40+ matches in two consecutive years.

10: Out of India’s wins in 2023, 10 of them came in the 2023 Cricket World Cup, making it the second-most consecutive wins in a single World Cup. Moreover, this is India’s longest winning streak in the ODI format.

10: Australia have over 10 instances of winning 30 or more matches in a single year. They are followed by India with seven instances.

20: Australia were the first team to register 30+ victories in all formats in a particular year. Now, there are over 20 instances of teams winning 30+ matches.

11: The West Indies, England, and South Africa have registered the most wins in the Test format. All of them have 11 victories each in a calendar year.

30: In ODIs, Australia are the undisputed topper with 30 wins in a single year. And they have held this record since 2003, extending their lead for over two decades.

28: Out of India’s 46 wins in 2022, 28 were registered in the T20I format, which is the second-most by any team in a year. Uganda (29) bettered India’s tally in 2024 with an extra win.
