RCB and SRH have had a lead run-getter in four IPL seasons each.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have the most orange cap-winning batters in the IPL. Matthew Hayden was the first to do so in 2009, followed by Michael Hussey in 2013 and Ruturaj Gaikwad in 2021.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are the only team to have an orange cap winner in three consecutive IPL seasons. They recorded the streak between 2017 and 2019, with David Warner taking the honour in those two years, while Kane Williamson did so in 2018.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are the other team with a top run-scorer in two consecutive editions in 2011 and 2012. Notably, Chris Gayle top-scored in both seasons, making him the only batter to achieve this feat.
