1975: Manchester

The rivalry between India and New Zealand in the World Cup dates back to the first Cricket World Cup in 1975, when the two sides met on June 14, 1975. In that match, Abid Ali scored a half-century (70 runs), and several others contributed in some way. India’s defeat was attributed to a poor bowling effort, while New Zealand comfortably attained the objective and won by 4 wickets.

1979: Leeds
