In the 1970s and 80s, chasing a target of 250-plus runs was a mammoth task, as the teams were transitioning from the Test mindset to the ODI mindset. However, nowadays, teams chase down 250-plus targets like a breeze.

India, which is a powerhouse in the 50-over format, has registered the maximum 250+ run chases in ODIs, with other teams not even in close sight. The story is also the same when it comes to 300+ targets.
