Thus, it’s a rare phenomenon to witness teams winning matches by 10-wicket margins. Moreover, winning a T20I match without losing a single wicket depicts the winning team’s dominance throughout the game.

Most 10-Wicket Wins by Teams in T20I History

In December 2023, Kenya became the first men’s team to register five 10-wicket wins in T20I cricket.

England are the only team to win two matches by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup, having beaten India and the USA once.

2025 recorded 23 instances of teams winning T20I matches by 10-wicket margins, the most in a single year.

Indonesia alone accounted for five of the 23 matches in 2025, the most 10-wicket victories by a team in a calendar year in T20Is.

Indonesia are also the only team to win five or more matches by a 10-wicket margin on home soil in T20Is.

India, Belgium, and Sweden have come out victorious by 10 wickets in two or more away matches in T20Is. Notably, India’s two wins have come against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Milestone Records and Historical Firsts in T20Is

South Africa were the first team to win a T20I match by 10 wickets. The Proteas beat Pakistan by chasing the 130-run target without losing a wicket in the 2007 one-off T20I match.

Kenya and Indonesia are the two teams to win consecutive T20I matches with a 10-wicket margin. Kenya defeated Scotland in back-to-back games in the 2010 two-match series, while Indonesia beat Timor-Leste in consecutive matches in the 2025 tri-series. 

Tournament and Single Venue Performance Records

The 2025 North America Cup and the 2025 Indonesia Tri-Nation Series recorded five 10-wicket wins each, the most instances in a T20I tournament involving three or more teams.

Indonesia have won the most matches by 10 wickets against a team in T20Is, having beaten Timor-Leste by this margin in their first three encounters in this format in 2025.

Indonesia have recorded all their 10-wicket wins at the Udayana Cricket Ground in Bali, the most by a team at a single venue in T20Is.

The Udayana Cricket Ground has itself recorded nine victories by a 10-wicket margin, the most at a single venue in T20Is.
