Record for Most Centuries by Wicketkeepers in T20Is
Leslie Dunbar became the first wicketkeeper batter to score two centuries in the T20I format. The Serbian batter scored both of his hundreds against Bulgaria in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
Notably, both of Dunbar’s centuries came in defeats, the most by a batter in T20Is.
Sanju Samson went a step ahead of Dunbar to smash three centuries as a keeper in T20Is, making him the first to do so in the shortest format. All of his hundreds have come while opening for India.
Samson brought up his first three centuries in 2024, the most by any batter in a calendar year in T20Is.
Fastest Centuries and Highest Scores by Wicketkeepers in T20Is
Muhammad Fahad brought up his maiden T20I century with a bang against Bulgaria in July 2025. The Turkish keeper-batter took only 29 balls to reach the 100-run mark. This is the fastest T20I hundred by a wicketkeeper and the second fastest among all batters.
Fahad also achieved a strike rate of 353.94, which is the highest by a keeper-batter in a T20I innings (minimum 20 balls faced).
Brendon McCullum hammered the first century as a wicketkeeper in T20I cricket. He scored 123 runs off 58 balls against Bangladesh in the 2012 T20 World Cup.
McCullum’s 123 is the joint-highest score by a wicketkeeper-batter in T20Is. Zimbabwe’s Brendan Taylor levelled the record in 2025, scoring 123 off 54 balls against Botswana.

Dunbar’s second hundred, a 117-run knock, is the highest score by a wicketkeeper-batter in a losing cause in T20Is.
Dunbar whacked an unbeaten 104 against Bulgaria in his debut T20I match, making him the first wicketkeeper-batter to score a hundred on T20I debut.

Samson scored two of his tons on the 2024 South Africa tour, the most by a wicketkeeper in a bilateral T20I series.
