Leading Teams with Most VHT Titles

Karnataka is the only team to win more than 100 matches in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have played more than 130 matches in this prestigious one-day competition.


Record Season Performances and Highest Victory Margins

Tamil Nadu and Haryana hold the record for the joint-most matches won in a single Vijay Hazare Trophy season, with both teams securing 10 wins in the 2019/20 and 2023/24 seasons, respectively.

Haryana concluded their 2023/24 campaign by remaining unbeaten and capturing their first national VHT title.

Tamil Nadu recorded the largest win margin by runs in the tournament’s history, defeating Arunachal Pradesh by 435 runs during the 2022/23 season.


Notable Captaincy Records and Leadership Milestones

Parthiv Patel has recorded the most wins as a captain in Vijay Hazare Trophy history, leading Gujarat to 43 victories in 67 matches.

Parthiv Patel’s 67 matches as captain are the most in the tournament’s history; Sachin Baby and Rajat Paliwal are the only other leaders to captain teams in more than 50 matches.

Parvez Rasool has lost the most matches as a skipper in the competition, suffering 34 defeats in 49 matches while leading Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir is the only team to have lost more than 80 matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Bengal, Goa, and Railways have each featured in two tied matches during their time in the competition.
