David Warner, in 2021, became the first player to score more than 1000 runs against Punjab Kings in the IPL. While doing so, the Australian opener also became the first player to score 1000+ runs against two IPL sides.
Chris Gayle, who played briefly for the Punjab side during the end of his career, is the only batter to score two centuries against the Punjab-based franchise. However, Warner tops the count of 50+ scores against them, with 13 knocks to his name.
Among the players with more than 300 runs against PBKS, the current Gujarat Titans (GT) captain, Shubman Gill, has been the most consistent batter, with an average of around 65.
Meanwhile, the West Indian duo – Chris Gayle and Andre Russell have the best strike rate against the Punjab bowlers in the tournament. Russell has scored 400+ runs, averaging around 35+, with a massive strike rate of 200+ versus PBKS.
