Jake Fraser-McGurk has the highest strike rate in an IPL season. He struck at 234.04 in the 2024 edition for Delhi Capitals (DC). Fraser-McGurk aggregated 330 runs from 141 balls across nine innings. Except for one innings, he struck above 150 in each of the eight outings.

Fraser-McGurk’s run tally included four half-centuries, of which three came in fewer than 20 deliveries. Two of them came in exactly 15 balls, making him the fastest half-centurion for DC.

The IPL 2024 season recorded four batters with strike rates above 200, the most instances in a single edition. Apart from Fraser-McGurk, MS Dhoni (220.54), Abhishek Sharma (204.21), and Ramandeep Singh (201.61) were the other batters.

AB de Villiers and Andre Russell have eight IPL seasons each with a strike rate above 150. Interestingly, de Villiers’ first five seasons came in a row between 2012 and 2016, which is the longest streak by a batter in the league. Russell also leads the career strike rate chart. The Caribbean hitter has a strike rate above 170, having faced 1500+ balls. Find here his IPL journey with the bat.

When it comes to a single innings, Chris Morris holds the top position (at least 25 runs). He hammered an unbeaten 38 runs off nine balls at 422.22 for Delhi against Pune in 2017.
