David Warner is the only overseas batter to smash more than 500 fours in the league. Warner has also struck the most boundary fours in an IPL season. He fetched 88 fours in the 2016 edition.
Warner’s fellow countryman, Shaun Marsh, has the best fours per innings ratio among the batters with 50-plus innings and 200-plus fours. The left-hander scored approx. 3.85 boundaries per innings. He found the boundary ropes 266 times in 69 outings, all for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).
Paul Valthaty and AB de Villiers smacked the most fours (19) in a single innings. While Valthaty struck 19 fours in his 120-run knock against CSK in 2011, ABD levelled the feat in his unbeaten 133 against MI in 2015.
