Key Insights

12: Sourav Ganguly smashed 12 sixes in 2000, the most by a batter in a single Champions Trophy edition. In fact, he leads the six-hitting chart in the tournament’s history, with 17 maximums.

10: Hardik Pandya is the other Indian batter with 10 or more sixes in an iteration. Shane Watson and Chris Gayle complete the set, having smashed 11 and 10 sixes, respectively.

7: Of the 11 sixes hit by Watson, seven came in a single innings against England. This is the joint-most sixes by a batter in a Champions Trophy innings. New Zealand’s Craig McMillan is the other batter with seven maximums against the USA in 2004.
