12: Sourav Ganguly smashed 12 sixes in 2000, the most by a batter in a single Champions Trophy edition. In fact, he leads the six-hitting chart in the tournament’s history, with 17 maximums.
10: Hardik Pandya is the other Indian batter with 10 or more sixes in an iteration. Shane Watson and Chris Gayle complete the set, having smashed 11 and 10 sixes, respectively.
7: Of the 11 sixes hit by Watson, seven came in a single innings against England. This is the joint-most sixes by a batter in a Champions Trophy innings. New Zealand’s Craig McMillan is the other batter with seven maximums against the USA in 2004.
5: Eoin Morgan is the only batter who has scored five or more sixes in two different editions. The former England captain hit five maximums in 2009 and hammered seven biggies in 2017.
6: Interestingly, the 2009 and 2017 editions saw six batters each hitting five or more sixes.
