Key Insights

Glenn Phillips brought up his maiden century in ODIs on February 8, 2025. The New Zealand all-rounder slammed an unbeaten 106 runs off 74 balls against Pakistan in the tri-series opener. Phillips reached his hundred in 72 balls, which is the second-fastest ODI ton by a visiting batter against Pakistan in Pakistan.

South Africa’s Matthew Breetzke had a stunning ODI debut two days later. He smashed 150 runs from 148 balls against New Zealand, making it the highest debut score by a batter.

Two veteran batters, Rohit Sharma and Kane Williamson, have returned to ODI action in style. Both batters scored a century each against England and South Africa, respectively.
