Phillips launched seven sixes during his maiden ODI century. He brought up an unbeaten 106 off 74 balls against Pakistan in February.
A month later, Phillips finished the Champions Trophy 2025 as the top six-hitter. He smacked eight sixes in five innings. Azmatullah Omarzai was the other batter to hit eight maximums in the 50-over event.
Matthew Forde and Keacy Carty smashed eight sixes each during their 58 and 170, respectively, against Ireland, the joint-most in an ODI innings this year. Forde’s knock was historic, as he completed his fifty off 16 balls, the joint-fastest in ODIs.
