259: Ryan Rickelton holds the highest Test score by an individual in 2025, and his 259 came against Pakistan at Cape Town in the New Year’s Test match. Temba Bavuma and Kyle Verreynne were the other to score a century in that game.

Usman Khawaja is the only other batter to score a double ton. The left-hander recorded his maiden Test double century (232) against Sri Lanka at Galle. Alex Carey is the third player to cross the 150-run mark in an innings.

23 other batters have scored a fifty or more in an innings, and Babar Azam, Dinesh Chandimal, Craig Ervine, Shan Masood, Kusal Mendis, and Steve Smith being the ones to register a half-century or more twice.
